Customer Support Analyst

Location: Calverton Office

IMS supports multiple bioinformatics initiatives from government and commercial institutions in public health and medical research applications. IMS is looking for a Customer Support Analyst to join our client support team, developing relationships with clients and working with users of our in-house developed software applications to diagnose and correct technical support issues. You will also analyze and test custom software systems. Tasks also include following company standards and applicable regulations to develop documentation, training materials, and help systems to assist users with our software products.
 

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. Department of Education accredited institution in English, Biology, IT, Math, Social Science, or a related field with at least a 2.9 GPA
  • 0-4 years of related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to relay technical information to clients and users in layman terms
  • Demonstrated strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work within a team
  • Strong presentation skills preferred
  • Experience with databases a plus
