Customer Support Analyst

Location: Calverton Office

IMS supports multiple bioinformatics initiatives from government and commercial institutions in public health and medical research applications. IMS is looking for a Customer Support Analyst to join our customer support team, developing long-term relationships with clients and working with users of our software applications to answer questions, identify and address any related concerns, and provide advice as needed. In this position, you will also analyze and test software systems. Tasks also include developing documentation and creating training materials.


  • Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. Department of Education accredited institution in English, Biology, Social Science, or a related field with at least a 2.9 GPA
  • 0-4 years of professional experience in a customer-oriented position
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to relay technical information to clients and users in layman terms
  • Demonstrated strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work within a team
  • Strong presentation skills preferred
  • Experience with databases a plus
